NO MORE WORRIES – The Tour So Far…

Hitting its third month on the road, No More Worries, a new solo show from spoken word artist Simon Mole, is picking up rave reviews. We take a look at the tour so far…

‘A couple of years ago I had an idea for a story. A story which involved two guys travelling round Britain in a VW camper…’

With five venues already under its belt, the six-month tour of Simon Mole’s solo venture, No More Worries, is in full swing and wowing audiences up and down the country. Back in the distant memory of June, Simon and director Peader Kirk pitched up at ARC in Stockton-on-Tees with their trusty VW camper (a.k.a. Daisy) to begin the first leg of their theatrical journey.

‘Thoroughly enjoyed No More Worries, Simon Mole gave a brilliant performance’ – Audience member, ARC, Stockton

No More Worries tells the story of twenty-seven year old Kieran. Stuck in a dead-end town, Kieran wants to see the world: foreign suns, adventure, and exotic cocktails. Fifty year old Paul, a British Lebowski in an old skool campervan, is on the road again. Trusting in tai chi and the power of sevens, Paul is on a quest to reconcile then and now. Crossing paths, this mismatched couple map an unlikely road-trip through austerity Britain as they each seek the perfect holiday moment.LattitudePic

Having won over the people of Stockton, Simon and Peader, and of course Daisy, continued joining the dots, leading a holiday trail of hawaiian print, sea salt and sand to LIVE Theatre in Newcastle and Cast in Doncaster before hitting the summer festivals.

No More Worries was life-affirming and completely captivating. Take all of my applause, outstanding’  – Audience member, LIVE Theatre, Newcastle

Rolling up to Pandora’s Playground at Latitude Festival on Sunday 19 July, the No More Worries clan set about sharing their perfect holiday moments with unsuspecting campers – balloons, bubbles, and summer play-list tunes to boot. Take a look at the photo gallery to see what they got up to…

Still going strong, Daisy said farewell to the folk at Latitude and made her way from Suffolk to Oxfordshire in time for the mighty Wilderness on Sunday 9 August for one final festival fling before hanging up the wellies for the summer.

Blog-LowRes1But the journey didn’t end there! Simon and Peader are washing off the mud, packing up the VW, and making their way to the capital next month, where they’ll be camping out at the Albany in Deptford from the 23rd September – 3rd October. The No More Worries team have already been spotted drumming up support at Deptford market with buckets, spades, and the trusty Albany ticket tent by their side.

‘Simon’s poetry is packed with observant details and laid back, snappy verse…a veritable smorgasbord of poetical delights’ – Lettie McKie, Sabotage Reviews
